Orlando artists Drex Carter and Kkami team up on their new collaborative EP, THAW. The 3-track-project is a smooth blend of lo-fi beats (via Kkami) and hip-hop (via Drex Carter). The entire project was freestyled, nothing written, a stream of consciousness of sorts. With the release comes a visual for “City After City” along with a verse from fellow Orlando rapper Mitch$$$ on “High Hopes“. THAW tells the story of an artists struggle but backwards. Starting with the reflection of every obstacle overcome and ending with the broken ties that sparked the entire journey, most listeners grasp the concept by track 3.
