Jacksonville singer / song-writer J.S has released his highly-anticipated new EP, 5Pack ahead of the upcoming release of the 30-track album, Glasshouse.
5Pack is a unique aesthetic meticulously crafted by executive producers City of Dreams, manager Novafromthe6, and JS himself. This extended play is a prelude to the forthcoming album that immediately sets the stakes — and prepares the world for one of R&B’s most exciting new faces.
5Pack is just what its name entails — five songs, all drastically different, inspired by a vast array of influences. City of Dreams, who executive produced, mixed and mastered the project, comes out of the same Minneapolis studios that Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis built, taught by former Paisley Park & Motown producer/engineer Tom Tucker Sr.
5Pack is a sensational vocal and songwriting performance by JS and includes original production from Chapman out of Scotland, David Lee out of Vancouver, Phami (who produced the track’s lead single, “Body Politics”) and more. What comes from this natural falsetto is a wide range of sounds that diversify a unique body of work with a sensual and sexy sound that clearly pays homage to everyone from Micheal Jackson and Prince, to Marvin Gaye.
